Robert and I are expecting our first child in November. Yes, I am twelve weeks pregnant this week. I have had morning sickness and all that good stuff that comes along with being pregnant. We are both thrilled and are doing what we can to ensure that the baby is healthy and happy. Being pregnant made this semester interesting. I am tired most of the time and Robert has been great picking up the slack, running to get the one food that I can keep down, and holding me when I am emotional and cry.
School became interesting as well. I would have to leave class sometimes to go throw-up and homework became more difficult to finish because I didn't feel well. Finals were horrible. I had to leave my exams to go throw-up then return and finish the exam; I also caught a horrible cold that lasted more than a week and I couldn't take any medication for it. Moving was also difficult as I could not lift anything heavy. Robert and I had a good system going so we were able to pack and we had help moving all the heavy stuff. But...
...it is all worth it. I had my first doctor's appointment right after finals and before moving. I had an ultrasound because they could not find a heartbeat with the regular heartbeat thingy. I was really scared because they brought in other doctor's and were asking me a ton of questions. Then they found the baby and his/her heartbeat on the ultrasound and the atmosphere changed. They said the baby looked healthy and were commenting on how much he/she was moving. I got to see the baby move and I have a picture of him/her. Robert and I are hoping things continue to go well with the baby so we can welcome him/her to our family in November.
p.s. from Robert: It is going to be a boy!

I am so excited Doll! I can hardly stand it!. Baby shopping is now on top of list! I love you and Robert!
CONGRATULATIONS!!
We are dancing a jig every day and just keep smiling to the fact that we are having a great granchild. You think Auntie has been baby shopping, well we have too. What fun. Grampa just grins from ear to ear. Love you honey.
Congratulations Natalie! We are so excited for your whole family. Being sick is no fun - but the end result is SO worth it.
CONGRATS! What a roller coaster. You are very brave--but it will all be worth it in the end!! How exciting for your Mom too! We need to catch up cousin.
I can completely understand everything you said. I am due about a week after you. How fun. I have been sick and working which is no fun either. My first appointment they did an ultrasound and thought the baby was dead turns out there was no heartbeat because I was only 4 weeks and not the 6 that I thought. But I had to live in fear for the next 3 weeks til I went back to the doc and the baby was ok. Congrats. You are so brave to do this during law school. Lets get together when we are both feeling better and can eat real food. Love you
I hope Robert's right--boys are AWESOME!
Wow. Soon to be a party of three! I'm so excited for you. That must be hard going to school while you're pregnant. You're amazing. I hope everything goes well. You're going to be a GREAT mom! -Brooke (Nielsen) Dunyon
